Utility
If the general utility is a linear function of the following form,
\(U\left(x_i\right)=w_1.u_1+w_2.u_2+..........+w_n.u_n\)
where
\(u_i=\)utility of element \("i"\) : \(u_i>0\) \(\forall i\)
\(w_i=\)weight of element \("i"\) : \(0<w_i<1\)
and \(\Sigma w_i=1\)
Then to find the contribution of a specific element to \(U\left(x_i\right)\), one can take its partial derivative wrt that element \("i"\).
