Structural commentary
Compound (I) possesses a relatively short N-S bond [1.692 (13) Å] and long S-C bond [1.799 (13) Å]. The N-S-C angle is 100.88 (2)°. The alkyl group is neither symmetric nor exactly perpendicular to the imide plane [dihedral angles C-N-S-C of 91.45 (2)° and 87.64 (2)°]. Although the N-S bond can be a chiral axis when the nitrogen is asymmetrically substituted, we see no indication of chirality [Flack(x) = -0.01(2)].
