evil-a predominant part of human nature displays itself in a conducive atmosphere only to destroy the solid and structured fort of humanity. a civilized soul may be corrupted by the deadly touch of evil . this dark aspect of human being performs its devilish activities in various and variegated form. apparently jealousy,hatred,cruelty etc.  are blamed for the destructive fury we see all around.this  particular article tries to find out one of sources of evil found in Heart of Darkness particularly in the characterization of Kurtz. A modern and  colonial representative of civilized European  society arrived at the darkest part of Africa to make the superstitious and ignorant native people civilized and modern people . but at the time of his death this missionary and a trader being disillusioned  of his aim and activities is said to have advised his company to'' exterminate the brutes''.
