Investigation of a Bimaterial Interface in Sakarya and Sapanca Segments of North Anatolian Fault Using Teleseismic Arrival Time Differences
Abstract
We are using teleseismic arrival time differences to calculate the average crustal P wave velocity contrast across the Sakarya and Sapanca segments of the North Anatolian Fault. The data are obtained through a network of 71 temporary and 16 permanent broadband stations over a 16 month period. The events used have epicentral distances between 30 and 90 degrees. Our results indicate %?? and %?? velocity contrasts across the fault respectively in Sakarya and Sapanca segments.
