Methodology
To test the correctness of the null hypothesis, I conducted the Z statistical test under significance level 0.05 to find out if there are significant differences between the average trip durations of male and female riders since, according to the Central limit theorem, the distributions of both female and male riders' trip durations will tend toward the Gaussian distribution.
Conclusion
The result of the Z-test shows that the p-value is 0.5, which is larger than 0.05. Thus we fail to reject the null hypothesis and conclude that the trip duration of men biking on average is the same or significantly larger than the trip duration of women biking on average under significance level 0.05.
