This study shows a design of external cavity laser using the SAF1126C RSOA and a Bragg grating. The target parameters are to achieve high output power and wall-plug efficiency with an output wavelength of 1550±1nm. Using simulations on Lumerical INTERCONNECT software, the performance of the design is analyzed. The results show that while the design could satisfy the requirements, it could be refined to give better results.
