Abstract
Rectal prolapse is a pelvic floor disorder that involves descent of full
or partial thickness rectum through anus. The novel use of a vaginal
support pessary may avoid surgery in those who are not fit for surgery
or prefer to avoid surgery, and may provide temporary relief whilst
awaiting surgery.
