What might peer review look like in 2030? Find out at SpotOn16.

The Authorea Team

SpotOn London is back for a one day conference on Saturday, November 5th at Wellcome Collection. The event is jointly held by BioMed Central, Digital Science and the Wellcome Trust. It is part of a series of community events aimed at researchers, science communicators, and anyone interested in science policy.
With a theme of "What might peer review look like in 2030" SpotOn London will explore the future of peer review. Conference participants will brainstorm radical ideas, review alternatives and improvements, and learn new tools that might disrupt it.
Will peer review extend to blogs, software, and research data? Will it stay the best solution against bad science or will AI and other digital technologies render it obsolete? Will pre-print servers, post-publication article metrics, and research sharing platforms force a complete overhaul of the peer review process?
Join us this Saturday and find out. We will sit down to discuss our ideas or visions about what future peer review platforms might look like during "Getting creative with the future of peer review" panel. If you want to find out what innovations Authorea brings to the table come to our lightning talk at noon. If you cannot make it this time follow us on Twitter using #SpotOnCreative.
See you at SpotOn London!
