Student Review Process: Overview

For each entry, read or view the submission together with your students and use the review form prompts (below) to guide class discussion. Encourage them to be honest and avoid directing them toward any particular response; we want these to be an accurate reflection of how your Student-Judges responded!
**NEW THIS YEAR**  We have both a Review section (with prompts) and a place for Feedback, both of which will be sent to the Scientist who submitted that entry. Please familiarize yourself with each.
The following questions are included in the Review form:
  1. How much did you learn about Climate from this answer?
  2. How interesting was this answer?
  3. Was this answer Clear or Confusing?
  4. Did this answer use words you understood?
  5. Did this answer make you want to learn more about Climate, or Science?
Use these open-ended prompts to help guide your Feedback:
  1. I never knew ________________________________________________________________ before!
  2. This part was cool: _________________________________________________________________!
  3. But my favorite thing was _________________________ because ___________________________!
  4. These words were confusing: _________________________________________________________
  5. This part was a little boring: __________________________________________________________
  6. Can you help me understand this part a little better?  _____________________________________

Student Judging in Smart Classrooms:

If your students all have access to the internet, open the article you would like to review and copy the URL from your browser bar. Send this via email to all of your students.  There is also a "Copy Student Link" button, if you find that easier.

DO NOT click the "Review" button on your page unless you want your Teacher evaluation to override your students!
When your students open the article on their computers or tablets they will see something like the following:
