Abstract

Anomalous origin of the left circumflex artery from the right sinus of Valsalva with a retro-aortic course is a relatively common abnormality. Although considered benign, the retro-aortic course of the anomalous vessel may be an important consideration in aortic surgery and device closure of atrial septal defects. 2D transthoracic echocardiography can easily help detect this anomalous course in a non-invasive manner. Here, we present the echocardiographic images of a young patient who had come for evaluation of chest pain.
