Analog Measurement of the Median, and other Percentiles, of Periodic Signals

Abstract

Both the median and the average are measures of centrality. The median of a signal is the level the signal spends equal amounts of time above and below. We present a method for the measurement of such a level, or any other chosen percentile level of a periodic signal.
